Trina Merry creates body art that has been featured in many major media outlet including TIME Magazine, The NY Times, NBC, ABC, The NY Post, Forbes Magazine and the Discovery Channel. The scope of her work ranges from avante garde performance pieces in museums to commercial advertising campaigns.

A Native of the Bay Area with a degree in film, she moved to New Orleans to apprentice under the world renowned body artist, and current judge on Skin Wars, Craig Tracy. She currently lives in New York City where she studied under Robert Wilson at the Watermill Center.

Highlights of her career include creating 10 commercial and fine art series, crafting living installations at the San Jose Museum of Art and ESMoA, executing a social media campaign for Ford Motors Corporation & a national commercial for NERF, and receiving numerous industry awards (Source: Trina Merry).

Σελ. 79, ‘ΓΕΡΙΚΟ ΜΠΑΣΤΟΥΝΙ’

Ζωή που, ύστερα από καιρό πολύ, ξαναφαίνεται,

ώσπου ξαναχάνεται και πάλι ξαναφαίνεται η ανυπαρξία.

Η συκιά φορούσε μάσκα, σας ρώτησε:

πόσα σύκα θα φάτε πάρα πολλά;

Είπε τα εξής:

‘Είναι ντροπή, άνθρωπος μορφωμένος σαν εσένα

όταν πέφτει τόσο χαμηλά ώστε να κλέβει τα σύκα μου’

σ’ ένα γεροντικό μπαστούνι

στηρίζουμε όλες μας τις ελπίδες

κάποια άτομα

πρέπει να καταδικαστούνε ισόβια

μπας και μάθουν ποιός είναι ο πρέπων τρόπος ζωής

μέσα σου κοινωνία

ανθρώπους

είμαι σίγουρος πως θα τους απογοητεύσεις μέλλον

σ’ εξαγόρασα θάνατε

πληρώνοντας με τη ζωή μου.
